The first performance in D-CAF’s music programme will present Boris Brejcha with his high-tech minimal music. The Alexandrian shaabi (popular) band El-Dakhlaweya featuring, DJ Filo, will be performing in the second part of the night.
Brejcha is known for his unique sounds described as minimal-electro, which merge a bass foundation with percussion and unexpected turns in the melodic arrangement.
Launching his music career in 2006, the artist has a discography of seven albums as well as a number of groundbreaking singles and remixes. He recently created his own music label.
Eldakhlaweya have signed and produced an album with 100copies, an independent music label that started in Cairo in 2006 to create a network for experimental musicians.
