A recital of classical music of the greatest European composers was performed Monday night at the Algerian National Theatre Mahieddine Bachtarzi in Algiers by Italian maestro Uto Ughi, in front of a large audience.
Organized by the Italian Cultural Institute in Algiers, this show allowed many classical music lovers to appreciate the talent and virtuosity of the greatest Italian violinists, accompanied by pianist Alessandro Specchi.
Performing with Italian violinist and composer Giuseppe Tartini, Uto Ughi started the ceremony with "Les trilles du diable" (The Devil's trill), a sonata he chose to convey to the public a poetic aspect of Italian music of the baroque poetry.
In the second part of his recital, the maestro paid tribute to the 20th century French composer Camille Saint-Saëns as he played two of his songs.
