Hong Kong singer-producer Wong Yiu Ming, one-half of Cantopop duo Tat Ming Pair, came out of the closet during the final day of the pair\'s 25th anniversary concert series on Monday, reported Hong Kong media. The 49-year-old Wong, who had long been rumoured to be a homosexual, dropped the bomb about his sexual orientation after his performance of \"Forget that it\'s him or her\" and \"Forbidden colour\", on stage in front of thousands of people. \"I\'m a homosexual, I\'m a gay, G-A-Y,\" declared Wong, who had hinted at his intention to come out since the duo\'s first concert last Friday. His statement drew cheers from fans and his celebrity friends like Hong Kong singer-actor Andy Hui, Miriam Yeung, Fiona Sit and Cantopop music group Grasshopper\'s Calvin Choy as well as Remus Choy, who were present that night. \"I didn\'t say it until now because I was afraid we\'ll (Wong and the media) run out of things to talk about,\" joked Wong, adding that he hoped the media would stop asking him about his sexual orientation from now on. Tat Ming Pair was a popular band in Hong Kong in 1980s and 1990s. The band disbanded in 2005 after which Wong continued his career as a solo singer while his co-member Tats Lau went into acting.
