Lebanese singer Amal Hijazi revealed that she’s taken a break from singing due the instability in her home country Lebanon and the Arab region. Amal said: “A singer can’t sing, while he is seeing dozens of Arabs killed every day in the streets. An artist draws inspiration from people, I die when I see such scenes.” She went on: “I just stay at home and don’t feel like singing or working. I am in the process of releasing a song about the injustice of human beings want to sing or work, and when it decided to sing. I released a song about the injustice of human beings.” The musician is set to release the track this June. Amal added that her contract with Rotana has been renewed and is working on an upcoming album which will be releases “once the region is calm”. Amal’s last album Weilak Min Allah was out in 2010.
