ArabianBusiness.com published a list of the wealthiest Arab artists, in which Lebanese artists dominated 7 out of 10 spots in the Top Ten List, while Egyptian singer Amr Diab topped the list, with an estimated fortune of 41 million dollars. The website stated that Diab has sold over 50 million albums since the beginning of his career in 1983. It is thought that the majority of his wealth comes from the live concerts that he performs around the world. Nancy Ajram was next on the list following Amr Diab, with an estimated fortune of 36 million dollars generated in the past 10 years alone. The website noted that the artist has only released 7 albums, but her wealth increased after the successful launch of her albums, and a number of lucrative advertising campaigns. Elissa was third on the list following Ajram with an estimated fortune of 35 million dollars. Fairuz was next with a 29.5 million dollar fortune. As for 55-year-old Majida El Roumi, who took fifth place on the list, her fortune was an estimated 28 million dollars, coming ahead of Lebanese composer Marwan Khouri whose estimated fortune is 24 million dollars.
