Syrian superstar Assala can celebrate her success: her new album Shakhsia Anida has gone straight to the top of the album chart. She said to Arabstoday: “My fans know I’m a confident singer, I don’t fear adventure and my previous albums show this part of my personality. In Shakhsia Anida, I’ve gone beyond my limits, I’ve actually shocked myself and my audience with some of the songs I have performed. Shocking your audience is the key to success.” Assala explained: "My audience was shocked because my new songs are completely different to what I have done before: the words and the melody I used are completely new.” I presented in it what they never expected from me; where I presented a group of songs that don't look like me, in both, the level of the words and tunes, and too far from what I've been presenting in my whole journey". Assala's album, "Shakhsia Anida" was released after Eid al-Fitr.
