Trusted information confirmed to Arabstoday that the Lebanese singer Fares Karam’s concert in Las Vegas was cancelled for reasons that were described as \"political” after Arab communities in Vegas decided to boycott the concert, claiming that the singer sang for the Syrian President Bashar al-Assad. The source also said that Karam’s concerts in other US states were successful but in Las Vegas, there is a large contingency of Syrian emigrants who strongly oppose Assad’s regime.
