Egyptian singer Hani Shaker has performed at Egypt's Opera House. As part of the venue's Spring Festivals series, Shaker joined musician Abdel Halim Noweira and composer Ahmed Amer for a performance lasting more than three hours. The Cairo-born pop star sang some his finest songs, and thanked the audience for its support. A woman in the crowd gave Shaker a copy of the Qur'aan before the event. Hani began the evening with a rendition of Adoo l Masr, before inviting two new singers to the stage who had won a talent competition. Rami Rafat sang Mesh Ana Elli Abky, and Aya Abdullah delighted the crowd with I Oyoun El Soud. Hani joined the duo for Ala Remsh Oyonha. After the interval, Hani took to the stage and performed his classic hits such as Mougarad Waat, Sahib El Galala, Mahtagelk Ya Omry, Galta, Ya Retny, El Mafroud, Baadak Malish, Ana Alby Leek and Lesa Btsaaly. The 60-year old concluded the evening by paying his tribute to legendary Arab singers Abdel Halim Hafez and Shadia.
