Egyptian actor Hassan Yousef is probably not in Egyptians’ good books right now. Yousef has strong views on the January 25th Revolution; he has criticized it and its youth who attend protests. He has yet again attacked it by accusing it of causing chaos in Egypt, and saying that it is what will “destroy society.” This comes after the actor attended a voting centre to vote in the Cinema figures elections, which was very chaotic and unorganized. Although the Revolution had nothing to do with the chaos at the elections, Yousef seemed very emotional at the situation, and instead of blaming the organizers of the elections for the disruption, he commented: “This is what we get from the Revolution.” He added: “It’s impossible for those few people to be Egyptian because they just don’t realize the billion pounds worth of debt the country is in because of the Revolution, yet they insist on this chaos. I’ll never understand this situation.” He was spotted leaving angrily without casting a vote.
