Egyptian actor Khaled Saleh has explained that his character in drama series The Pharaoh is based on the importance of good leadership in society. Saleh plays the role of a businessman who comes across vigilante characters on a day-to-day basis, from teacher to bus drivers. \"Everyone who is unjust or oppresses those around them becomes a Pharaoh,\" Saleh explained. \"We present these characters that have become part of our society through one person. \"From where they sit, everyone wants to be a Pharaoh but they don’t realise that the end of every tyrant, the Pharaoh is always tragic,\" he added. Saleh claimed that certain principles formed the key basis of any successful society, adding that without these principles, there would be complete chaos. The Pharaoh has been directed by Mohamed Ali, with scriptwriting from Amr el-Shamy and Yasser Abdel Maguid. The drama stars\' Khaled Saleh, Jomana Mourad, Dina, Ahmed Foad Selim, Ahmed Safwat and Tarek Abdel Aziz.
