Maya stressed that she will not be termed as an artists who is only fit for demeaning sexual roles and is not willing to put her career on the line to act in any film that will show her in such a manner. Maya was a member of the popular Lebanese singing band ‘The Four Cats’ and she had taken part in the Egyptian film “Asad Wa Arba’ Qitat” (A lion and four cats). The film starred Egyptian comedian actor Hani Ramzi, Lutfi Labeeb, Hana Al Shawraji and Hassan Husni.
