Egyptian actress Mena Shalabi has told Arabstoday she is looking forward to her new television series, as an all-star cast joins forces for Friendly Fire. “The programme is neither political or religious – as some people have said – it’s a serial drama,” she said in an exclusive interview. “We have started filming. I’m working with a very distinct group of actors and actresses.” “The defining feature of this series is the collective leading roles played by our stars,” she added. Friendly Fire is written by Mohammed Amin Radi and directed by Khaled Marei. The show will see Kinda Alloush, Amr Youssef, Rania Youssef , Salwa Khatab and Sabri Fawaz co-star with Mena.
