Egyptian musician Amr Mustafa has decided to leave social media, preferring to meet people directly in person. “I decided to leave social networking, including Facebook and Twitter, to deal with people by visiting six Egyptian provinces,” he said in a farewell post on his Facebook page. Mustafa will meet with young people and activists in cities across Egypt, including Mansoura, Tanta, Alexandria, Benha and Minya to discuss the future of the country. The popular musician has finished filming a new video in Port Said for the song, We Are Egyptians Who Taught Our Sons. Mustafa is well-known for his enthusiastic support for Egypt’s former dictator, Hosni Mubarak and criticism directed at the country’s 2011 January 25 revolution.
