Egyptian actress Nessrine Imam has expressed her anger over reports of tension in her relationship with global superstar Omar Sharif. The reports arose when he appeared to forget her name in a recent television appearance. She told Arabstoday that wasn’t remotely upset by the incident because the 80-year-old actor had already forgotten the names of Ahmed al-Sakka and Ahmed Ezz. Speaking exclusively to Arabstoday, Nessrine said: "I am not angry at Omar Sharif at all and I don't know what’s behind this rumour. I saw that episode in which Sharif appeared and I didn’t think that he forgot my name, he was just speaking about Hanin wa Hanan, the TV series I had a role in." "Anyway, he appeared sometime before that on a radio station and said wonderful things about me," she told Arabstoday, reporting the actor as having said "My daughter Nessrine Imam is my daughter in show business and outside it." "I'm constantly speaking to him and check up on him every once in a while. I made a point of checking up on him at the time of the revolution because I was very worried about him at the time," she said. Imam added "Even if we assume that he forgot my name, he had already forgotten the names of two of Egyptian cinema's stars, namely Ahmed al-Sakka and Ahmed Ezz, so there's no need to launch into speculations over it."
