Aaron Sorkin, writer-producer of "The Newsroom," shot down an online report claiming Olivia Munn is behaving like a diva on the set of the New York-set drama. "The story bears no resemblance to reality," Sorkin said in a statement to Us Weekly Thursday. "Olivia is a perfect cast member who is loved and respected by the entire cast, by the crew and the producers, by HBO, and especially by me." "Sucks 2 read bull[expletive] that's perpetuated on blogosphere," Munn tweeted Wednesday. "But feels so great 2 have friends like this who stick up 4 u," she said via Twitter Thursday, linking her message to Sorkin's statement. RadarOnline quoted an unnamed source this week as saying Munn has been "overstepping" her boundaries and displays a "know-it-all attitude." "Olivia was acting like one of [Sorkin's] co-writers ... and Aaron didn't appreciate hearing opinions on everything," the insider said, adding the actress and show-runner's relationship "created a poisonous atmosphere on the set" during Season 2 and her role in Season 3 would be downsized because of it.
