Egyptian starlet Olfat Omar expressed her sadness at the Port Said stadium massacre on Wednesday. Omar said it is impossible that a match calling for entertainment and fraternity turned into a funeral for the young people of Egypt. The actor demanded a peaceful handing over of power to a civilian president. She also stated that all state agencies including the military council, the Minister of Interior (MoI) and the People's Assembly should carry out an investigation in order to detest the perpetrators of this massacre to satisfy the families of the victims. Omar added that Egypt would never be a strong country without an official president and an official government able to conduct investigations seriously. She denounced the slowdown of the trials and stressed that they should speed up as a guarantee for the stability of Egypt and for Egyptians' rights. Omar also praised Tunisia for setting the new foundations for the country in a very short time and hoped for Egypt's safety and stability.
