Iraqi singer Kadim Al-Sahir expressed his solidarity with the people of the Arab revolutions who are now suffering as the Iraqi people did in the past. Al-Sahir said that he will sing the language of love to oppose the language of murder "that destroys our people”. In an interview aired on Sunday evening with Lebanese channel OTV, the singer said that he wishes Iraq and all the Arab countries well which are currently facing turmoil. He added that he has quietly separated from his wife, and that he is now living a new love story. As an artist, he considered himself satisfied with his work and his audience, although his success has come at the expense of his privacy. “However”, he admitted, “God replaced it with other things.” He praised the role Lebanon has played in his career, saying that he went to Lebanon in 1998 and the country helped him very much.
