The iconic Lebanese artist Wadi al-Safi has had a severe kidney collapse and is now under observation in an intensive care unit, Arabstoday have been informed. The kidney failure led to immense bleeding and Safi was immediately transferred to Mount Lebanon Hospital. He had been admitted to the same hospital a week ago after slipping in the shower and breaking his leg. Wadi al-Safi’s son, George al-Safi, told Arabstoday that his condition is now stable, but will be under medical observation for the next days. He also expressed his sadness over the fact that none of the Lebanese officials had called to ask about his father’s health condition.
