Algerian legendary singer Wardah revealed that she will be cooperating with director Laila Kan’an, who had directed most of Lebanese singer Nancy Ajram’s music videos, to direct a new clip for a song from her latest album. Warda stated that she will soon begin filming the clip for the song “Ili Da’ Min Umri” (The years lost). The song is written by Hani Abd Al Kareem and directed by Khaled Izz. The singer stated that she nominated Laila for the direction of clip after having watched most of her work and noticed that most of the clips she directed were very successful, especially the ones she directed for Nancy Ajram. Warda denied that the production company ‘Rotana’ is behind delaying the release of her album, stressing that she wanted to wait until conditions around the Arab world calmed down and became more stable, noting that she is in no rush to release the album. The singer added that postponing the release of the album gives her enough time to go over it and make sure it is of the highest standards that will meet the expectations of her fans after a prolonged absence from the scenes.
