Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency Yukiya Amano has said that Egypt has strong expertise in the field of nuclear energy.
Egypt also has two reactors, Amano said in a lecture he delivered at the Foreign Ministry HQ Tuesday.
The IAEA is looking forward to boosting cooperation with Egypt in the coming stage, he said, adding that the agency would be honored to become a partner of Egypt in this territory.
Indeed, Egypt is an important partner of the IAEA, Amano acknowledged, noting that Cairo effectively partakes in activities of the agency and shares its expertise in the field of science and technology.
He said his agency offers knowledge and technology and sets international safety standards and guidelines regarding nuclear facilities.
