The government is eager to support scientific research in the political, social and economic fields, Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab said on Tuesday.
Addressing a conference organized by Al Ahram Center for Political and Strategic Studies (ACPSS), Mahlab called on the Egyptian people to unite during the coming period to protect their country.
The government welcomes any constructive criticism to move Egypt forward, Mahlab said.
Mahlab also praised a vital role played by ACPSS in helping decision makers at a time Egypt was passing through its gravest phases following the 1967 defeat.
