Egypt's Ambassador to Yemen Yousef el-Sharqawi said Saturday that Egyptian fishermen detained by Yemeni authorities are in a healthy condition.
The ambassador told MENA that he has made contacts with the owners of the seized boats to urge them to quickly carry out the terms of the administrative reconciliation reached with the Yemeni authorities in order to get the sailors and fishermen released.
The staff of the Egyptian Embassy in Sanaa exerts much efforts to solve the problem, el-Sharqawi added.
Yemeni border guards seized three Egyptian fishing vessels with 70 fishermen on board on October 12 for illegally entering Yemen's territorial waters.
