President Abdel Fattah el Sisi said energy problems urgently need EGP 40 billion to build new power stations and provide fuel needed to run.
The president told journalists, before leaving Kuwait, that he spars no effort to solve the problem to attract more internal and external investments.
As many as 100,000 new cars enter service annually and that increases the energy gap in Egypt, Sisi said.
The president also revealed that he asked the Chinese part to build new power stations in Egypt with 30-year soft loans to add new 18,000 MW to energy generated in Egypt.
