The Tunisian water resources minister asserted on Monday that the Egyptian fishing boats have not been involved in violations in the Tunisian territorial waters for several months.
Saad al Sediq made the remarks during his meeting with Egypt's Ambassador in Tunis Ayman Mushrafa.
The meeting tackled ways of promoting cooperation between the two countries in the fields of farming and fishing, the Egyptian diplomat told MENA correspondent here.
The Tunisian minister thanked the Egyptian Foreign Ministry and the relevant bodies for the awareness campaigns to warn the Egyptian fishermen of the danger of violating the territorial water of the neighboring countries, added the ambassador.
Mushrafa added that the Tunisian side asked for benefiting from the Egyptian expertise in all fields related to fishing and farming.
The diplomat also met with Tunisia's trade minister on means to boost bilateral ties and increase the trade exchange.
