Electricity Minister Mohamed Shaker announced on Friday that the ministry has overcome the crisis that hit the national electricity grid on Thursday.
In a statement, he pointed out that all maintenance works were finalized and that the grid was restored with full capacity.
He pointed out that the volume of electricity produced today has reached 23,000 megawatts.
In the meantime, Shaker said that expert committee assigned to study reasons behind the yesterday's crisis will continue its work in order to find out all details, adding that the committee will raise a detailed report within the coming few days and that the report's outcome will be announced.
