Egyptian and Sudanese views on the way of addressing the issue of the Ethiopian Renaissance Dam are identical, Sudanese Foreign Minister Ali Karti said Thursday.
During a meeting that brought together Sudan's President Omar al-Bashir and his Egyptian counterpart Abdel Fattah El Sisi, the two leaders agreed that every party has the right to benefit from the dam provided that others are not harmed, Karti said.
The two presidents also discussed issues of mutual concern, along with ways of boosting bilateral ties in various fields.
They agreed to hold a meeting of the Sudanese-Egyptian joint higher committee likely by the end of February, the Sudanese top diplomat said.
Al-Bashir and Sisi also agreed to work together to end conflicts taking place in a number of Arab and African countries.
