President Vladimir Putin said that Russia planned later Wednesday to destroy its last chemical weapons and accused the United States of not following suit.
"Today the last chemical ammunition from Russian chemical weapons stockpiles will be destroyed," Putin said, quoted by Russian news agencies. The United States "unfortunately is not carrying out its obligations when it comes to the timeframe of destroying chemical weapons," he added.
