Thousands of delegates from South Africa's ruling ANC party began voting for their new leader in the early hours of Monday morning, officials said, shortly after saying the vote had been delayed.
"Apologies... The decision has been rescinded and voting will go ahead now," the party said in a late-night statement, reversing their earlier announcement that the vote would happen during the day on Monday.
