The Nasdaq bolted to a fresh record peak Wednesday in a broad-based Wall Street rally that largely reversed sharp losses in the prior session.
At the closing bell, the tech-rich Nasdaq Composite Index stood at 5,106.59, up 73.84 points (1.47 percent), and almost 15 points above the prior record set April 24. The Dow Jones Industrial Average jumped 122.28 (0.68 percent) to 18,163.82, while the broad-based S&P 500 gained 19.26 (0.92 percent) at 2,123.46.
