After Ronde Van Vlaanderen, Scheldeprijs and Paris-Roubaix the classics go on with another big one.
"The BAHRAIN MERIDA Team will race again with a very motivated team and with Sonny Colbrelli as the first leader and Enrico Gasparotto as the second one," says sports director Tristan Hoffman.
"We have Sonny back on this classic, and all the others will be very important to help the captain and also to try to go to the breakaway. Enrico Gasparotto had a great result last year in this race and was a runner-up and Grega Bole was in the top 10 last year, so we feel comfortable and confident with the chosen lineup. After Ronde Van Vlaanderren, Sonny didn't attend the Schledeprijes and Paris-Roubaix, and now after short refreshment, he is ready for new challenges, such as Brandbatse and Amstel race, and to make a step further. He is ready for big results, but all things have to fall in the right place and we believe in that."
It is a race with a lot of climbs and a hard tempo and close to the end within the loops the peloton usually breaks into many parts. Such a scenario could be a good one for us.
Here is the Bahrain Merida Team lineup for all three races:
Ivan Cortina / Enrico Gasparotto / Grega Bole / David Per / Luka Pibernik / Meiyin Wang / Sonny Colbrelli
