Game 6 of the World Series in Boston was seen by 18 million viewers on Fox, Variety reported Thursday. The Boston Red Sox beat the St. Louis Cardinals 6-1 Wednesday night for Boston's first championship win at home in 95 years. The audience was the biggest for a World Series game in two years, but not as big as the last World Series Game 6, which drew 21.1 million viewers in 2011. The 2011 series wrapped with a seventh game in which St. Louis beat Texas in front of a television audience of about 25.4 million, Variety said.
