BBC America said Wednesday it has ordered a second season of its fantasy series, "Atlantis," which premiered last weekend. "'Atlantis' is off to a fantastic start and is the centerpiece of our Saturday nights for the next 12 weeks," Richard De Croce, senior vice president of programming for BBC America, said in a statement. "We're committed to bringing our viewers even more entertaining episodes inspired by Greek mythology from [producer] Howard [Overman] and the talented team in Season 2." "We are all thrilled at [the production company] Urban Myth Films that 'Atlantis' has been re-commissioned and look forward to continuing the legend next year," Overman and his fellow producers Johnny Capps and Julian Murphy said in a joint statement. The show stars Jack Donnelly, Mark Addy, Robert Emms, Jemima Rooper, Aiysha Hart, Sarah Parish and Juliet Stevenson.
