Activist and scholar Ronan Farrow is to serve as host of his own chat show in New York next year, MSNBC announced. The 25-year-old son of actress Mia Farrow and filmmaker Woody Allen was a Rhodes Scholar and has a degree from Yale Law School where he was the editor of \"The Yale Journal of International Affairs,\" the Los Angeles Times said. He also worked with UNICEF and as special adviser to Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton on global youth issues during the Arab Spring. \"I think what people crave is more involvement in the story,\" Farrow told The Hollywood Reporter about why he wants his own TV show. \"There has been a democratization of information. But what they still crave, and what I crave as a TV viewer, is a guide on how people can have agency in the story. And this show is all about empowering people to do that. People want a return to real democracy. They want to respond to these events [in Washington] that there is so much frustration about.\" Ronan Farrow\'s name was recently in the news because his mother suggested in a magazine interview her late husband, entertainer Frank Sinatra not her ex-boyfriend Allen, could be Farrow\'s father. Sinatra\'s wife has strongly denied the story.
