Steven Colbert recently let Fox News know that he is equally capable of expressing rage over President Obama's Between Two Ferns appearance. The President appeared on the Funny or Die sketch earlier this week in an attempt to promote the Affordable Care Act to a younger audience. President Obama gave as good as he got with host Zach Galifinakis as the two bantered back and forth during Obama's plug for Healthcare.gov. Conservatives were quick to criticize the appearance, with Fox News host Bill O'Reilly at the forefront of the open disapproval. "The President of the United States [on Between Two Ferns]? All I can tell you is Abe Lincoln would not have done it," O'Reilly declared on his show. Much of the criticism was based on the "inappropriateness" of the appearance, and many expressed the opinion that the President has more important issues to focus on. Steven Colbert let Fox News know on his show The Colbert Report that he, too, can bluster up a rage over the appearance. "I am not the only one who was angry," Colbert asserted. "I am just the best at it." The Colbert Report Get More: Colbert Report Full Episodes,Video Archive "This appearance set off a firestorm everywhere... From Fox News... to later in the day on Fox News," the host declared. "By going on that web show, Barack Obama undermined the authority of the presidency...and that is Fox News' job." "Nation, the worst part, the very worst part is that it worked!" Colbert blustered as he finished the segment. He then cited that traffic to Healthcare.gov increased by forty percent, or 890,000 views, following the President's appearance on the show. The Ferns interview has received over thirteen million views.
