Sarah Jessica Parker is excited about her new Jordache campaign.
The 50-year-old actress discussed the gig in an interview with People published Tuesday. Parker was made the new face of the denim brand in June, and said she was surprised but happy to get the call.
"I wanted to do it because they asked, and I grew up with that song and those campaigns and it was like the thing you coveted as a girl," she related. "I love the brand -- it really is an iconic brand, anybody would have said yes, I think!"
"I probably wear [jeans] more than any of my friends," she revealed. "Jeans, it's hard to deny how they're so accommodating. They're so many things to so many people, I feel like they're the gift that keeps on giving."
Parker is best known for portraying Carrie Bradshaw on HBO series Sex and the City, which came to a close after six seasons in 2004. Rumors of a third film inspired by the show periodically take off, but the actress said she hasn't revisited the character in a while.
"I'm not sure," she responded when asked what Carrie is doing and wearing in 2015. "I haven't seen her in so long. I haven't talked to her in so long... so I don't know if she's wearing thrift store things lately and still doing that."
Parker last appeared as Isabelle Wright on Fox musical drama Glee, and will star as Frances on new HBO series Divorce. The show is created by Sharon Horgan (Pulling), and co-stars Thomas Haden Church, Molly Shannon and Talia Balsam.
