Congratulations bride-to-be Kim

Kim Kardashian attends the Amber Fashion Show Young, beautiful, rich & famous… and now engaged! Kim Kardashian is on her way to having the next “Royal Wedding” of the year, or as it has been nicknamed, “Royal Reality Wedding.” The date has finally been set by the 30 year old reality TV star and fiancé Kris Humphries, 26. Good news- it is much sooner than we had all anticipated! We will be hearing wedding bells this summer, August 20th right in the back of Kris Jenner (Kim’s mother)’s garden in California. And don’t you worry about feeling left out, because in true Kardashian fashion, the New York Post reported that the wedding will be filmed (possibly for Keeping up with the Kardashians); so technically we’re all invited. The couple has only been engaged for 6 months and although it seems like they are getting married a bit too fast in the traditional sense, Kim is not your typical traditional girl – she did get a $2 million engagement ring from Kris after all. “When you know you want to spend your life with someone, why wait? Plus, Kris has time off over the summer from playing basketball, so it makes sense.” Kim tells Cosmopolitan, “I knew he was The One.” “Often in relationships, you try to mold yourself into someone you think the guy wants. But with Kris, I was totally myself from the get-go. And he was everything I’d ever wanted in a man.”
So, who is planning this extravagant affair? Well, you’d think with Kim’s wealth and connections she would hire the best wedding planner there is; but no, you guessed wrong. Kim says she is leaving the planning from A to Z to sisters Kourtney and Khloe, because she trusts them completely. \'Kourtney and Khloé are taking care of everything!\' said the bride-to-be. And even though it seems like the pair won’t have much time for planning, in reality they surprisingly do. Last month, on June 16th, Kourtney and Khloe threw an intimate engagement party for the couple at Khloe\'s Los Angeles mansion. The soirée only took 3 days to organize. If those sisters can organize a soirée in 3 days than organizing a wedding should be no problem; it should take a maximum of 6 days. But wait, that’s not all they are planning; Kourtney and Khloe are planning two separate bachelor and bachelorette parties in late July, to take place in Tao and Lavo in Las Vegas. Khloe said she will be planning a risqué-themed bachelorette party because she knows Kim doesn’t like that sort of stuff and is uncomfortable with it, so she thinks this will be “fun.”
Don’t forget the most important item of the big day; the wedding dress. Details are scarce, and although unconfirmed, we hear that Kim has visited friend and wedding designer Vera Wang’s boutique twice. Kim’s friend told OK! Magazine that Kim \"wants it (the dress) to be a little bit of high fashion, but also timeless, classic and classy. Her dress will be ivory, and most of the detailing will just be stitch-work or beading.\" As for Kim herself, she has said that she would like an “old Hollywood” style dress, and that she particularly admired Cristina Aguilera’s wedding dress. Kim and Kourtney met up with Vera Wang to discuss the dress, which was described as ‘tight-fitting, with a magnificent train’ that has diamonds embroidered on it. The sisters said \"She\'s making all the decisions so there\'s no room for any of us to screw up her big day. But she\'s being open-minded to what Vera Wang and her family has to say.\"
The only thing left now for Kim is to make sure she fits into her dress by the time the big day arrives. She has recently hired celebrity coaches for the stars, Gunnar Peterson and Tracy Anderson, who have worked with the likes of Jennifer Lopez and Madonna to whip her into shape. She currently weighs 125 lbs but is looking to lose 15 lbs before walking down the aisle. Anderson tells Life&Style magazine: “We don’t want to take away Kim’s amazing curves, so we just do specific movements to tighten the skin and to pull the muscles tight against the bone.”
