Model of the moment Cara Delevingne London - Caroline Kent First up on the fashion week schedule yesterday was fur-loving Fendi. There was a distinct lack of pelage on the London runways, but this Autumn/Winter 2013-14 show in the Italian city of Milan sent a clear message. “I believe in fur,” Pietro Beccari, the Fendi chief executive, told press at the show. The pelts in this collection were sleek and linear in shape, whilst colours and criss-crossed fabrics had a punky edge that was perfectly complemented by purple and magenta Mohawks. The collection was confident and fun, and one could tell that Karl Lagerfeld delighted in creating it. “The reality is that they made fur so politically incorrect that, in the end, people do the opposite,” said Lagerfeld after the show. “Anyway, fur today is different. Animals are not killed in the same way. There is a lot of shearling. I, too, have hated something and then loved it again.”
