Swedish lifestyle brand for children Newbie has now launched in the UK with its online store going live today. Offering sustainable, timeless and affordable fashion inspired by the Swedish way of living, for children aged 0 - 8 years, the brand launched in 2010 as part of the childrenswear segment of KappAhl – one of Scandinavia’s largest fashion retailers with over 360 stores in Sweden, Finland, Poland and Norway.
Consumer driven collaborations helped to shape the brand and further build the brand’s fan-base, which ultimately resulted in the launch of Newbie as a standalone brand, opening its first Newbie Store in Stockholm in 2014. Today, Newbie has ten stores across Europe, incorporating Sweden, Norway, Finland and Poland with additional Newbie Stores due to open in the coming months.
Newbie caters to today’s environmentally aware and design conscious parents; people who are mindful about choosing how, where and what they shop. The brand is making the UK its next home in Europe and will launch a pop-up store on Sydney Street, Chelsea from 20 October - 3 November 2017, before opening its first permanent store in Richmond in November 2017. An additional store will open in December 2017 with more UK launches planned for early 2018.
The Communications Store has been apointed to handle the press and publicity for Newbie in the UK.
