River Island has unveiled its debut TV advertising campaign for AW14. With art direction from Studio Boulevard, the campaign was photographed by Emma Summerton and Directed by Andreas Barone. Stylist Beth Fenton was recruited for this season, creating ensembles that focus on hero pieces, allowing elements of quality in each of the garments to be seen. Patterns dominate the womenswear collection this season, with checks, winter florals and animal prints featuring heavily. Enriched autumnal tones, and aspects of bright and metallic shades highlight quality key pieces in the range. Focusing on fabrication, the menswear collection reflects the modern silhouettes and trend-led pieces synonymous with the brand. Pastels, pinks and purples contrasting with touches of light neutrals and greys complement the dark colour palette of the collection. The ad was created and shot by Rokit’s Rohan Blair-Mangat, and will air on 1 September, however is available for viewing online from today.
