Salvatore Ferragamo presents an extraordinarily wide ranging shoe collection covering all occasions for the contemporary man. The formal section accommodates the more classic expressions of footwear fashion and a new look featuring rounder forms, soft leathers and super-flexible soles. It exerts an even more relaxed allure in certain low and elongated models with vintage finishing. The casual part of the range, on the other hand, has elegantly designed rubber soles for winter, while the sneakers retain their strong Made in Italy identity. For Red Carpet occasions, the new development is an exclusive patent leather shoe enriched by grosgrain, one of the Maison’s iconic materials. The leathers range from classic French calfskin to hammered calf with natural graining and an extremely soft hand, and calfskin printed with different types of grain. Shearing is used to line the winter models, while pony skin gives the sneakers a hint of ruggedness, with sophisticated finishes, such as semi-shiny brushing for the classic man, greasing on the toes of casual models and the exquisitely crafted antiquing of the Tramezza Special Edition. There are also new metal details with diamond-cut facets, a new interpretation of the “Gancio” motif with a square section and some metal finishes (tiny jewels of innovation). Bags: An autumn mood dictates the new colours for the winter collection: Camel, Leather, Stone, Bluette. The Opening line stages a comeback for Black and Brown, an unusual and sophisticated combination. Black also plays a contrasting role in the creations of the Alta di Gamma collection, in which use of metal is reduced to a minimum giving way to luxury details such as hand-stitching and the finishing on the shoulder bags. The business section is enriched with solutions for a dynamic man who travels and works. Deconstructed bags that ignore the canons of classic leather craft. Super-soft leather, multi-purpose details designed to meet the needs of the metropolitan gentleman: compartments and lined pockets for Pads, laptops or smart phones. Bags and hold-alls especially designed for weekend escapes. Comfortable business bags integrated or combined with exclusive document cases, briefcases and a small clutch. Two-tone is the message of the small leather goods this season, with combinations such as Camel/Sesame, Bluette/Stone, Black/Camel and Stone/Sesame, as well as accessories like the Gancio Muro and the diamond cut buckle. And lastly the belts, evergreen emblems of elegance, which re-affirm their subtle mix of detail, but not without an innovative side, as in the reversible models for day & night use: an exclusive blend of sophisticated lines, prestigious leather and crafted stitching. Scarves and ties: The graphic style plays with differing dimensions and employs various weaves to interact with stripes, chevrons, twills and herringbones, subtle checks, knops and printed logos or jacquards. The colour palette contains soft hues and a preference for ton sur ton. The main feature of the tie collection is the use of micro-pattern prints of Ferragamo icons: animals, logos and botanical motifs. The true signature of the collection is a series of sophisticated outline drawings of animals. The mood of the season is also captured in a selection of jacquard designs: classic regimental or more casual, with woolly effects and silk logos.
