Do Redheads have a more fiery personality? Are Brunettes simply beautiful? Do Blondes have more fun? Every season introduces a new look; whether it is hair, makeup or fashion. But hair colour can Make or Break you; it can transform your whole look and sometimes even personality. So, how do you find the best colour to suit you? Many factors play a role in that; but don’t stress- they are all made simple with my “How to pick a suitable hair colour this season” guide. You need to take into consideration your Skin tone and Eye colour. Afterwards you need to follow the basic Rule of Colour. To calculate the basic Rule of Colour, do the following calculation: Your natural hair color + the shade you choose = your new color (it will be a combination of your natural color mixed with the color you apply.) The color of your hair right now + a new color = your new finished color. Confused? Here’s a little explanation: If you are now a medium-brown hair colour, and you use a warm medium-red hair colour, your new finished colour will be a warm auburn shade. Next, look at your skin tone and eye colour and see if they complement the fabulous carefully calculated hair colour you’ve chosen. Now, you can be either Cool toned or Warm toned. If you have olive, rosy brown, fair, or rosy skin and have eye-colors such as hazel, blue, blue-gray or green then you are a Cool toned woman. If you have fair to medium golden, golden brown or darker skin and have eye-colors such as deep brown, hazel, or brown then you are a Warm toned woman. Cool skin tones are fortunate in that they are able to wear many exciting "unnatural" colors- lipstick reds, burgundies, and orchids, to achieve that new, sexy, daring look. However, they should avoid gold, yellow, red and bronze tones as they have a tendency to make you look sallow and drawn. Warm skin tones should go for a deep chocolate, rich golden brown, auburn, warm gold, red highlights, and golden blonde shades to enhance their "sunny" look. Remember, the hair colour on the front of the box is not the hair colour you will get. Always use the basic Rule of Colour and the colour guidelines written on the box.
