Celebrities have found a new hair colour trend to rock: dip-dye hair. Cool, effortlessly sexy and works in winter and summer. Not too long ago, dark roots were an absolute fashion no-no! Along came stars like actress Drew Barrymore and it girl Alexa Chung who wore light hair with dark roots. Dip dying hair was a practical solution. It was no longer necessary to colour the roots again and again. Darker roots are reminiscent of seaside holidays and sun-bleached hair ends. The surfer look is easily achieved by bleaching the ends of darker hair. Colouring the root portion of light hair darker was no problem either. Sun-bleached hair does not need to be lightened before applying colour. Some people might use long dip-dyed hair extensions- from blonde to purple, black to grey, brown to grey or blonde to black.
