An adventure travel company is now offering the chance for visitors to go ‘glamping’ in India. The Ultimate Travelling Camp (TUTC), which offers a series of luxury camp sites in the country, has unveiled its new destinations for 2014 and 2015. Chamba Camp in Ladakh, Jammu & Kashmir, will open from 15 June 2014 to 30 September 2014, offering guests the chance to camp among scenic mountains, while offering a range of adventurous activities such as rafting on the Indus River. Then opening from 1-10 December 2014, the Kohima Camp in Nagaland, eastern India, is surrounded by rainforests and rolling hills. Finally, from 20 January to 31 March 2015 the Suheli and Kotwara camps offer guests the chance to camp out in the Dudhwa National Park, Uttar Pradesh. Explaining the concept, Deepak Raj, CEO of TUTC, said; “It’s a first of its kind luxury nomadic mobile camp with all the trappings of five-star luxury, in the best locales, capturing the perfect views.” Guest accommodation comes in the form of large tents with colonial furniture, en suite bathrooms and hot showers, while chefs are on hand to prepare meals. The camps can also be customised for special occasions and events such as weddings. Source: Travel Daily
