Drive to Kisumu for dinner and over night via the Lwanda Magere site. Lwanda Magere is the famous ever known non spearing Luo warrior who was killed after the betrayal by the wife. It is bereaved that the body of the warrior turned into a stone after his death. Day 3 Ndere Island National Park – Kisumu Tour This day 3 of the Kenya safari/western circuit,After breakfast, we drive to the most touristic Kaloka beach on Lake Victoria for a boat to Ndere Island National park.” the island of serenity and beauty” for game and bird viewing. Ndere Means a meeting place according to the luo community who inhabits this scenic beautiful and of adventure. Dinner and over night at the Hotel Day 4: Kisumu – Kakamega After breakfast drive to the Kakamega Forest with your lunch boxes for a full day exploration of the only tropical rain forest in Kenya. situated in the Lake Victoria basin, about 50km north of Kisumu city. This is the only remnant in Kenya of the unique Guineo-Congolian forest ecosystem, the park offers unique wildlife and scenic beauty. For bird and butterfly watchers, this is the place to visit for those who have great love and respect for nature wildlife birding and mysterious events. This forest is home to over 600 species of butterflies, about 2oo to 300 bird species and 27 species of snakes with more than 350 species of trees and 7 primate species including the endangered DeBrazza monkey, black and white colobus monkey and vervet monkey. The Potto (the world's slowest mammal on earth) can only be found here in the entire east africa, duikers and Dik diks ,blue and red tailed monkeys and olive baboons. Over 30 varieties of snakes including the deadly gaboon viper, Jamesons mamba and black mamba are found here among other animals. Dinner and over night at your hotel Day 5: Kisumu - Homa bay Leave Kisumu after breakfast, drive southwards through rice plantations in Kano plains and stopover at the Odino Falls to see the speeding water. After the brief stop, continue to Kendu Bay for lunch. Proceed to Lake Simbi Nyaima for bird viewing,then to Kanjira and Kanam hot springs on to Homa bay for dinner and overnight. DAY 6 Homa Bay – Rusinga- Mbita island After breakfast, head to Rusinga Island, a beautiful paradise island found in the Lake Victoria - the source of the River Nile. While here, visit historical places including the museum where the remains of the first man were found by Dr Louise Leakey and Tom Mboya Mausoleum where Tom Mboya an accomplished Kenya nationalist cum - politician was buried after his assassination on a Nairobi street. Dinner and overnight Mbita hotel. Day 7: Mbita- Ruma national park- Awendo Depart after breakfast and drive through hills and meandering roads to the Ruma National Park where a picnic lunch will be served. After lunch, game drive in the park while watching out for the rare roan antelope which can only be found in the Ruma National Park. After the Game drive, head on to Thim Lich Ohinga onto Gogo Falls then to Awendo for dinner and overnigh. DAY 7: Awendo - Masai Mara After breakfast, depart Awendo and drive through sugar plantations via Lolgorien to Maasai Mara National reserve, the land of wildebeest migration in Kenya. Dinner and overnight at the lodge / campsite Maasai Mara. Day 9: Masai mara Have an early pre-breakfast game drive in the wonder land of Kenya,Masai Mara. After breakfast, the whole day will be spent game driving. Lunch will be packed and eaten while in the park. Dinner and overnight at lodge / campsite Masai mara. Day 10: Masai mara - Nairobi Very early morning game drive till 9:30hrs, back to lodge/camp, pack up and after breakfast, depart for Nairobi, lunch en-route via the great Rift Valley of Kenya, arriving in the in Nairobi by late evening. Drop off back to the hotel and air port if you have a flight to catch. What is included in the parkage: 1. All game park entrance fees 2. Transport based on a tour minibus in the game parks. 3.
