Found between the Tarangire and Manyara national parks, Manyara Ranch is a 35,000-acre wildlife conservancy that makes the area into a massive safe haven for wildlife in Tanzania. Created on the lands of an old cattle ranch, Manyara was developed in part to preserve the many habitats that make up this region. Open savannas turn into African bush, and acacia woodlands make way for beautiful riverine forests. While these habitats provide a welcome refuge for many species that have been affected by human development, the interconnection of these habitats also makes it easy for species that thrive in ecotones or those that move between environments throughout the seasons to survive. In addition to housing many of Tanzania\'s most iconic fauna, the skies about Manyara attract a number of massive birds, including raptors. The number of habitats can also be enjoyed throughout the year during both the day and night. Guests who have the ability to see the park under the stars will be surprised by the amount of activity that goes on under a shadow of darkness.
