The £200,000 development, which will create 10 new jobs, is due to open in October. Retaining many of the building’s original features, the spa will be located within the existing health club. Open to members and non-members of the health club, the spa will boast six treatment rooms and a dual treatment room specially-designed for couples and friends to share in relaxation and rejuvenation. Bannatyne’s is also creating a relaxation balcony furnished with mosaic heated loungers, a spray tan room and a specialist manicure and pedicure area. The spa will perfectly compliment the health club’s existing relaxation facilities, which are also available to spa guests and include a steam room with fibre optic ceiling, a 14-seat spa pool and a large relaxation area alongside a 16-metre indoor swimming pool. The Bannatyne Spa will offer a selection of luxurious spa and beauty treatments for men and women including massages and facials, which use products developed by international beauty brand, Elemis. Among the specialist therapies on offer at the spa will be a range of Lava Shells treatments, which use naturally self-warming and eco-friendly Tiger Clam Shells from the South Pacific. Visitors to the spa will also be able to take advantage of Bannatyne’s partnerships with ID Bare Escentuals for its range of mineral make up, Gelish Semi Permanent Nailcare and celebrity nail artist Leighton Denny’s manicure and pedicure treatments. Nigel Armstrong, Managing Director of The Bannatyne Group, said: “The new spa in Fairfield is an essential part of Bannatyne’s drive towards creating an enhanced wellbeing concept under one roof, while also providing a new dimension for members of the health club.” “In line with all our existing health clubs and spas, the Bannatyne Spa in Fairfield will provide a high quality service and experience for every visitor, offering the latest treatments and using leading luxury product ranges.” He added: “Wellbeing and relaxation are an essential part of living a healthy lifestyle and Bannatyne’s holistic approach is becoming increasingly popular across the UK. We are very proud that Fairfield will be home to our flagship spa and look forward to its completion in the autumn.”
