Spas are moving into more of a wellness offering as holidaymakers look to get the best out of trips and treatments. In a forum at ILTM Spa earlier this week, Na Tasukon, director of marketing at Chiva-Som said clients want to see a measure of results when they visit a spa, just as buyers want to see in booking patterns. “Spa is clearly shifting into wellness which has been reflected in what the buyers also want. It’s all about measurability of results, evidence based treatments, and this will then lead to repeat business, which is what we all want,” he explained. “It’s all about the right treatments and growing with your clients, changing their treatments as they age and that also means addressing their health issues as well”. The ILTM Spa debut in London this week marked the start of a new series of spa events, as the market continues to grow and develop. The event will return in October 2014 in London.
