Regal Hotels International started rolling out more iclub hotels in Hong Kong.
The new iclub Sheung Wan Hotel welcomed its first guests on 26 June 2014, continuing the development of the new brand, which started in May with the rebranding of the iclub Wan Chai Hotel (formerly the Regal iclub Hotel).
iclub Sheung Wan now becomes the first hotel in Hong Kong uses ‘mobile key’ technology, allowing guests to use their smartphone to check-in and access their room. The service is initially available for guests booking online at iclub-hotels.com.
As demonstrated by the new technology, the iclub brand is designed as a brand for modern travellers, offering simple services with a high degree of connectivity, including free Wi-Fi.
The brand is also designed to be eco-friendly, with carbon-offsetting programmes designed to make all iclubs carbon neutral. The hotels will also be smoke-free.
The latest hotel has 248 rooms and suites, adding to the 99 offered in the iclub Wan Chai Hotel. Three more iclub hotels are now scheduled to open in Hong Kong over the next two years, including the iclub Fortress Hill Hotel later this year, iclub Soho Hotel in 2015 and iclub To Kwa Wan Hotel in 2016.
