Oslo - Arabstoday

Their opening is scheduled for Q3 2013. Both properties are owned by Norwegian-based Wenaasgruppen, which is one of Rezidor’s most important development partners. “We are delighted to further strengthen our trustful relationship with Lars Wenaas and his team. The two new hotels bring our portfolio in Oslo to 10 properties with 2,800 rooms in operation and under development. The signing of these hotels is in accordance with our strategy to achieve market depth in key cities of our home markets, through multiple properties”, said Kurt Ritter, President & CEO of Rezidor. The new hotels are located in a highly visible location along the E6, which is the main road connecting Oslo with the airport. The site is 10km east of downtown and 40km from the airport, making it a convenient destination for corporate travellers and meetings & events. Radisson Blu is Rezidor’s core upper upscale brand and the most preferred brand for business travellers in the Nordics. Park Inn by Radisson is a young and dynamic mid market brand offering great value for money. Besides 123 respectively 202 modern rooms, the new hotels will offer shared facilities such as a restaurant and bar, 1,200m2 of conference space, a fitness centre and parking. Rezidor is the premier and most important hotel operator in Norway: The group’s portfolio in the country now totals 29 hotels and 7,000 rooms in operation or under development and extends the full length of Norway from the Radisson Blu Polar Hotel, Spitsbergen in the north (near the North Pole and considered the world’s most northern full service hotel) to the Radisson Blu Caledonien Hotel in Kristiansand in the south. Also in Norway today, City.Mobi is celebrating the success of its new guide to Oslo. City.Mobi offers the most comprehensive mobile travel guides available, with over 800 cities in 200 countries listed. Each is developed by the City.Mobi team to combine into a single global travel directory. However, each city retains its own mobile identity via a dedicated domain. Already on offer are Brussels.Mobi, Paris.Mobi, Sanfrancisco.Mobi and Sydney.Mobi. Oslo.mobi is the latest in this illustrious line up, offering click to call functionality – which means no scribbling down telephone numbers. Most entries are also linked to websites where users can quickly access more detailed information if needed. Other key features include information on accommodation, restaurants, attractions, entertainment, nightlife, shopping, and transport. City.Mobi guides include user reviews and traveller utilities such as a translation guide, currency converter, news and local weather guide.
