Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide announced the opening of the King George hotel in Athens. Owned by Lampsa Hellenic Hotels SA, King George has been redesigned for a new generation of luxury travelers. “Our long-term partnership with Lampsa SA now includes three hotels in Greece,” said Michael Wale, president, Starwood Hotels & Resorts, Europe, Africa & Middle East. “The addition of King George strengthens The Luxury Collection’s extensive portfolio in Greece.” The hotel boasts 59 guest rooms and 43 suites, all with views of the city and the Acropolis. The two-bedroom Penthouse Suite spans the entire ninth floor of the hotel, featuring: a private terrace, a swimming pool, an open-air Jacuzzi and private elevator access. Source: Travel Daily
